How Long Does a Vape Last? Puffs, Pods and Days
For adults 21+ only. Smokey Cloudz sells only to adults of legal age. See our Age Policy and Sales Restrictions. Vapes contain nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.
Quick answer: How long a vape lasts depends on what you mean. A sealed disposable lasts until its e-liquid runs out, which is usually rated at 15,000 to 50,000 puffs on the devices we carry. A pod kit lasts as long as you keep buying pods, and each pod is rated at 30,000 to 60,000 puffs. One battery charge lasts a lot less than either. To estimate days, divide the rated puffs by how many puffs you take a day, then expect real life to come in under that number. Adults 21+ only.

“How long does a vape last?” can mean three things: how long one charge lasts, how long one device or pod lasts before it is empty, and how long a reusable battery keeps working. This guide covers all three for the devices we sell, with the puff ratings and prices from our product pages on October 25, 2026.
Three ways to measure how long a vape lasts
- Per charge. Most devices we carry recharge through USB-C, so one charge does not use up the device. You recharge when the battery icon is low and keep going. For battery details, see how long a vape battery lasts.
- Per device or pod. This is what the puff count measures. A sealed disposable is done when the e-liquid runs out. With a pod kit, only the pod is done, and you swap in a new one.
- Per reusable device. On pod systems like the Geek Bar Mate 60K, RAZ Vue 50K, Geek Bar Clio Platinum and Foger Switch Pro, the device is meant to be kept and reused across many pods.
Rated puffs for every vape we carry (October 2026)
Puff counts are the manufacturer’s “up to” ratings as printed on our product pages. The day estimates are simple math at 200 puffs a day in the default mode. They are not test results.

Why your vape runs out sooner than the puff count
Puff ratings are measured with short, even puffs in the lowest-power mode. Real use is different, so most people get fewer puffs than the box says. The main reasons:
- High-power modes. Pulse, Boost and Super Boost modes use e-liquid faster. That is why the rating roughly halves: a Pulse X2 drops from 50,000 to 25,000, and a RAZ LTX drops from 25,000 to 15,000.
- Longer draws. A three-second pull uses more e-liquid than the short puff used for the rating, so it counts as more than one “rated” puff.
- Airflow. A tighter airflow setting usually gives a denser draw per puff. Several models we carry, like the Pulse 2, Skyview 25K and Clio Platinum, have adjustable airflow.
- Heat and storage. Leaving a device in a hot car or in direct sun can thin the e-liquid. Store it at room temperature, upright, with the cap or cover on if it has one.
How to tell when a vape is actually done
Most devices we carry have a screen that shows battery and e-liquid levels, so you can see which one is low.
- Battery low, e-liquid left: recharge it with a USB-C cable. The device is not done.
- E-liquid empty or flavor turns harsh or burnt: the device or pod is done. A burnt taste near the end usually means the wick is dry. See why a disposable vape tastes burnt.
- Not hitting with charge and e-liquid left: it may be a sensor or airflow issue, not the end of the device. See why a vape lights up but doesn’t hit.
Disposable or pod kit: which lasts longer?
On rated puffs per unit, the pod systems sit at the top: up to 60,000 puffs per Mate 60K pod and 50,000 per RAZ Vue or Clio Platinum pod. The biggest sealed disposables, the Pulse X2, CLR 50K and RAZ RX, are rated up to 50,000.
The bigger difference is what you throw away. When a disposable runs dry, the whole device is done. When a pod runs dry, you keep the device and only buy a new pod. On the Mate 60K that pod is $21.99, and on the Foger Switch Pro it is $14.99. For a side-by-side, see pod kit vs disposable vape.
Tips to make a vape last longer
- Use the default mode (Regular or Normal) unless you want the stronger hit of Pulse or Boost.
- Take shorter puffs. They are closer to how puff counts are measured.
- Recharge when the battery icon is low instead of running it flat.
- Keep it out of heat, pockets near a heater, and hot cars.
- On pod kits, buy the matching pod. Pods do not cross brands or models; see the pod compatibility chart.
Which vape we carry lasts the longest?
By manufacturer rating, the Geek Bar Mate 60K is the top at up to 60,000 puffs per pod. For a sealed disposable, the Pulse X2, CLR 50K and RAZ RX share the top rating at 50,000. If price per rated puff matters most, the $21.99 Mate 60K pod gives the most rated puffs for the money once you own the device. For more detail, see what disposable vape lasts the longest and which RAZ vape lasts the longest. If you’re looking at smaller devices, our 5,000-puff guide has the same math for lower puff counts.

FAQ
How long does a disposable vape last?
Until its e-liquid runs out. The disposables we carry are rated from 15,000 puffs (Geek Bar Pulse 15000) to 50,000 puffs (Pulse X2, CLR 50K, RAZ RX). At 200 puffs a day that works out to roughly 75 to 250 days on paper, but most people get less.
How long does a vape pod last?
Each pod has its own puff rating: up to 30,000 for the Foger Switch Pro, 50,000 for RAZ Vue and Clio Platinum, and 60,000 for the Geek Bar Mate 60K, in the default mode.
How long does one charge last?
It varies by battery size and how much you vape. Recharge with USB-C when the battery icon is low. A low battery does not mean the device is empty.
Are puff counts accurate?
They are manufacturer estimates based on short, even puffs in the default mode. Longer draws and high-power modes use e-liquid faster, so treat the number as a ceiling.
Does Pulse or Boost mode make a vape run out faster?
Yes. The rating roughly halves in those modes, for example 50,000 to 25,000 on the Pulse X2 and 25,000 to 15,000 on the RAZ LTX.
