How to use a Geek Bar Pulse 2 for the first time
- Unbox it. Remove the box, wrap and any cap or seal from the mouthpiece. The Pulse 2 comes pre-filled, so there is nothing to fill or assemble.
- Check the screen. The dome screen shows battery and e-liquid levels. If the battery reads low, charge it before your first session.
- Take a slow draw. Inhale gently from the mouthpiece for two to three seconds. Slow, steady draws give a fuller hit than short, hard pulls.

Regular and Pulse modes on the Pulse 2
The Pulse 2 has two modes. Regular mode is smoother and rated up to 25,000 puffs. Pulse mode is more concentrated and rated up to 15,000 puffs. Use the mode control described on your device packaging to switch, then check the screen. Puff counts are manufacturer ratings and real results vary. For every Pulse device, see our Geek Bar Pulse settings guide.
How to adjust the airflow
The Pulse 2 has adjustable airflow. A tighter setting gives a firmer, more focused draw. A more open setting gives a looser, airier draw. Change it in small steps and take a test puff after each change until it feels right to you.
How to charge a Geek Bar Pulse 2
The Pulse 2 recharges over USB-C. Plug it into a laptop port or a low-power wall adapter, watch the battery level on the screen and unplug once it reads full. Avoid leaving it plugged in overnight. If it won’t take a charge, see Geek Bar Pulse not charging, or read how to charge a vape for general tips.
What to do if your Geek Bar Pulse 2 won’t hit
- Charge it. A low battery is the most common cause of weak or no hits.
- Check for seals. Make sure no cap or wrap is left on the mouthpiece.
- Check the e-liquid level. If the screen shows the e-liquid is empty, it is time for a new device.
- Open the airflow a little. A fully closed setting can make draws feel weak.
- Slow your draw. Very hard pulls can cause gurgling or a weak hit.
When to replace your Pulse 2
The Pulse 2 is pre-filled and not refillable. Replace it when the screen shows the e-liquid is empty, or when hits stay weak or taste burnt even after a full charge. A burnt taste usually means the wick has run dry.
