Geek Bar Mate 60K vs CLR 50K: Pod Kit or Sealed Disposable?

For adults 21+ only. Smokey Cloudz sells only to adults of legal age. See our Age Policy and Sales Restrictions. Vapes contain nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.

Quick answer: Both start at $24.99 on our pages. The Geek Bar Mate 60K is a kit with a 900 mAh device and a 200 mAh pod rated for up to 60,000 puffs (Regular) or 30,000 (Pulse), and its replacement pods are $21.99. The Geek Bar CLR 50K is a sealed disposable with a 900 mAh cell and a clear body, rated for up to 50,000 puffs (Regular) or 25,000 (Pulse). Pick the Mate for the highest rating and cheaper refills; pick the CLR for one simple device with a bigger flavor list.

Both of these come from Geek Bar, both have Regular and Pulse modes, and both list 5% nicotine. The real question is whether you want a reusable device with swap-in pods or a finished disposable. Everything below comes from our own product pages, checked October 24, 2026. When a page doesn’t list a detail, we say “not listed” instead of guessing. For related matchups, see Geek Bar Mate 60K vs Pulse X2, Geek Bar Pulse X2 vs CLR 50K and Geek Bar Mate 60K vs RAZ RX.

What’s the main difference between the Geek Bar Mate 60K and CLR 50K?

The format. The Geek Bar Mate 60K Kit is a reusable device with swap-in pods. Our page lists a 900 mAh device paired with a 200 mAh pod, 1.1 Ω dual mesh coils, a Galaxy display and USB-C charging. The listing also says each pod works on its own; the device adds the 900 mAh battery and the display.

The Geek Bar CLR 50K is a sealed disposable. Our page describes a crystal-clear body with a 3D waterfall glow, a 900 mAh high-voltage cell, dual mesh coils with VPU tech, an LED display, adjustable airflow and USB-C charging.

So the main battery figure is the same (900 mAh), but the Mate splits its power between a device you keep and pods you replace, while the CLR is one piece you replace when it’s done.

Puff counts are manufacturer ratings. Real totals depend on how long and how often you draw, and on which mode you use.

Which one costs less over time?

The Mate, and the gap grows with refills. A $24.99 Mate kit rated for up to 60,000 puffs in Regular mode works out to about $0.42 per 1,000 rated puffs. A $24.99 CLR rated for up to 50,000 puffs is about $0.50 per 1,000.

After the first kit, Mate replacement pods are $21.99 each and rated for up to 60,000 puffs, which is about $0.37 per 1,000. The CLR has no refill option, so every new one is another $24.99. Neither page shows bundle tiers to guest visitors, so we only compare single prices.

In Pulse mode, the Mate pod is rated for 30,000 puffs (about $0.73 per 1,000 on a $21.99 pod) and the CLR for 25,000 (about $1.00 per 1,000).

How do the Regular and Pulse modes compare?

Both devices use Geek Bar’s two-mode setup. Regular is the standard setting with the higher rating; Pulse gives a stronger hit and roughly halves the rating on both.

On the Mate, that means 60,000 puffs per pod in Regular or 30,000 in Pulse. On the CLR, it’s 50,000 in Regular or 25,000 in Pulse. Neither of our pages lists wattage for each mode, so we can’t compare power output directly. If you switch back and forth, expect your real total to land between the two numbers.

Which has the better display and design?

It depends on what you like to look at. The Mate lists a Galaxy display on the device, and its pods have a visible tank so you can check the liquid level. The CLR leans into its look: a crystal-clear body with a 3D waterfall glow and an LED display.

The CLR also lists adjustable airflow. Our Mate kit page doesn’t mention airflow adjustment, so we treat it as not listed. If dialing in the draw matters to you, that’s a point for the CLR.

How many flavors does each one have?

Our CLR 50K page lists 19 flavors today. The Mate kit lists 8, and Mate 60K replacement pods list 15. So the CLR has the larger single-device menu, while the Mate opens up more choices once you own the device.

Mate pods are made for the Mate 60K. Our kit page says they don’t fit other Geek Bar models, so check our replacement pod compatibility guide before you mix and match. Flavor lists change, so check each product page on the day you order.

Which should you buy?

  • The highest rating here (up to 60,000 puffs per pod in Regular mode)
  • Cheaper refills at $21.99 per pod
  • A device you keep, with a Galaxy display

Choose the Geek Bar CLR 50K if you want:

  • One sealed device with no pods to manage
  • Adjustable airflow and a clear body with a glow effect
  • The bigger flavor list (19)
